Iodoquinol has CAS No. 83-73-8 , Mol formula C9H5I2NO, Mol wt. 396.95 gms/mol. It is also known as Di iodohydroxyquinoline, which is a derivative of Quinoline. It acts as an antibiotic and also as an antifungal medicine for the treatment of skin diseases caused by fungus or bacteria,. It prevents the growth of fungus , bacteria. Iodoquinol is used alone or with Hydrocortisone. It is used for external applications only.

However Iodoquinol should never be taken without consulting a Qualified doctor , Physician as this drug can cause serious adverse side effects.
