Fluconazole has CAS No. 86386-73-4, Molecular formula C13H12 F2N6O, Mol wt 306.27 gms/mol.. It is marketed with a trade name Diflucan , Trican. Fluconazole is categorized under the category of Antifungals called Triazoles. It is slightly soluble in water but has solubility in alcohol. It is used to treat fungal infections of mouth , throat and other body organs. In some cases it is used for the treatment of other fungal infections like Meningitis that is caused due to the infection of membranes of brain and spine.


However Fluconazole should never be taken without consulting a Qualified doctor , Physician as this drug can cause serious adverse effects in pregnant women leading to life threatening situations for infants and the mother.
